About me

Since 2015 I am PI of the research group „Economic Inequality and Labor Markets“ at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and first speaker of the Research Initiative Occupations and Social Inequality. I completed my thesis about „Social Closure and Wage Inequality“ in 2014.

 


Research interests

  • Poverty and wealth in modern societies
  • Causes of the gender wage gap
  • Occupation specific labor market processes
  • Further development of methods for distributional analysis

  • The Development of the Gender Wage Gap in Germany (together with Prof. Dr. Susanne Strauß, University Konstanz), funded by the Baden-Wuerttemberg-Foundation.
